Tiny Girl Steps Up To Mic, Belts Out Sinatra Hit That Leaves Everyone’s Mouths Hanging Open

When this sweet five-year-old stepped in front of the microphone, no one could’ve imagined that she would belt such a popular oldies hit. Instead of singing a cartoon theme song or pop tune, Sophie Fatu decided to sing the beloved Frank Sinatra version of “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Now footage of Sophie’s impressive performance is melting hearts everywhere. Once you hear her sing for yourself, you’ll understand what all of the fuss is about!

Even though we all know the Frank Sinatra version of “Fly Me to the Moon,” it’s actually a song with a rich history. The song was first written in 1954 by Bart Howard.

But instead of being called “Fly Me to the Moon,” the collection of lyrics were originally called “In Other Words.” Several months after its creation, Kaye Ballard shared a recording, too.

It quickly gained popularity in jazz clubs all across the country. One talented performer named Frank Sinatra heard the song and knew he had to try his hand at singing it himself.

Within months of releasing his own version of “Fly Me to the Moon,” it rose to the top of the charts. It remains one of his most popular releases to this day.

Sinatra’s rendition of the song is what inspired Sophie to sing as well! With her loved ones cheering her on, she stepped into the recording booth and shyly walked up to the microphone.

Her adorable voice chirps out a Sinatra classic that people are falling in love with. This five-year-old has years ahead of her to sing her favorite swinging songs.
